Launching your Craft in Gwynedd
Gwynedd Council operate a strict registration scheme for all PWC. If
you wish to launch from ANY of the County's beaches you
MUST register your craft and pay a daily launch fee.
How do I register my PWC ?
This can be done in one of two ways :-
Firstly you can download the official
"Registration Document" by clicking
here.
Once completed you should then post the document, a cheque
made payable to "Cyngor Gwynedd" for
£15 and a copy
of your insurance certificate (minimum liability of £3 million) to :-
F.A.O : Esyllt Hughes
Maritime Unit,
Gwynedd Council,
Dwyfor Area Offices,
Ffordd y Cob,
Pwllheli,
Gwynedd
LL53 5AA
Once they have received and processed your application your official
registration stickers will be posted to your home address. Once you have
received the stickers they must then be placed in a prominent position
(above sea level so as to be visible when the craft is the water).
Secondly you must bring all your documents i.e.
Insurance Certificate (minimum liability of
£3 million),
Proof of Identity, either to the nearest Gwynedd Harbour
Office
Or
Register with one of the maritime wardens / officers present at the
launch site.
A fee of £20 is to be paid if using this method.
IMPORTANT
Once you have registered your Craft for the season
(April 1st to March 31st)
you MUST pay a Daily Launch Fee of
£12
every time you wish to launch your craft, or you can opt for a season
ticket which combines the registration and daily launch at any beach /
slipway in Gwynedd for the whole season for a fee of

I have registered my craft in the
County of Conwy or Anglesey. Is my registration valid for Gwynedd ?
The simple answer is "YES". If you have registered
your craft with either Conwy or Anglesey Council your registration is
valid for Gwynedd.
All that you will have to pay is the daily launch
fee which is not transferable from any other County.
This agreement is valid if your craft is
registered Gwynedd and you wish to launch in Anglesey or Conwy - you
will not have to re-register all you will pay is the daily launch fee. |
